This evergreen shrub produces bright yellow pea like flowers in spring and summer but may be in flower throughout the year.

Its spiny impenetrable foliage has been exploited by golf course designers to provide areas of "dry water", with only the most determined golfer retrieving a ball following a wayward shot. It can be trimmed (if you are brave) after the flowers have died off.

Our shrubs are normally delivered between 20cm and 35cm tall.

Gorse likes

It flourishes on light well drained soils in a sunny position, and being a member of the legume family is capable of fixing nitrogen and improving the soil.

It can reach approximately 2m (7ft).
