A small native small slow-growing evergreen shrub which forms a dense hedge and can be regularly clipped.

Its opposite dark green leaves are blue/green when young and the small green fruits are topped with three horns. It produces flowers in early spring and the male flowers have yellow anthers.

Our shrubs are normally delivered between 20cm and 35cm tall.

Box likes

Chalk soils and limestone, dense shade and is also suitable for coastal areas.

Box dislikes

Exposed/windy or very wet sites.

Growth

It can reach approx 9m (30ft).
