Bogmyrtle
Myrica gale
This woody deciduous shrub has a sweet scent emanating from its leaves which are covered in tiny glands. In May it becomes covered in golden catkins before the grey-green leaves appear.
The scent of Bog Myrtle is believed to be a deterrent to midges and other biting insects. It is also a traditional ingredient of Royal wedding bouquets.
Our shrubs are normally delivered between 20cm and 35cm tall.
